The Speling Master Speeks

It has come to my attention that the speling of the werd "potery" is somewhat unsetled. No, it's not pottery. How shall I spel this werd? I think I'm gonna have to setle it with Po-tree. po-tree. A venable and time-honerd usage. Guarantys correct pronounciation. Po. Tree. Rhymes with Bo. Tree. Both are venues associated with enlightenment.

There ye have it. Po-tree.

Excuse me, I see the Warden of the Yoni School marching down the range. She wears a scowl. She also wears a cowl, but that's another storey. I'm sure she's just heard that I've made a firm decision on the speling of po-tree. Which, of course, is a clear defiance of the injunction to spel keerectly, and will undoubtedly affect my parole and probation.

(Sigh)

I believe Wild Thing wrote a poem about a po-tree. And if she didn't (although I think she did) then she will in the future.

Wild Thing wrote about a planetree:

in my head a planetree
a planetree
a planetree
in my head a planetree and
seven silver moons

all planets on the planetree
holding me by gravity
and i swallow moon –
light and light
i am

and moonlight i am and
see a silver tree a
silver planetree holding me
by gravity all in my
head you see…

in my head a planetree
a planetree
a planetree
in my head a planetree and
seven silver moons

-------

Wild thing illustrated that, like a planet bearing tree and seven moons. But the drawing won't copy into the blog.

Some people thought the word planetree confusing. thought it should be planettree. Else they read plane tree. In spite of the picture.

What does the speling master think?

Wild thing also has embroidered a small mat wherein the words poetree are intertwined in a tree.

Wild thing has a signed poster from Roy MacDonald where the repeatred words poetree are shaped into 3 Christmas trees.

Wild thing wonders if the spacing of her poem will get messed up in the blog publishing.

Yep, the spacing was messed up. Oh well! No picture (worth a thousand words), no poetic spacing. Fine then!!!

Shouldn't get attached, right? I just read about the cause of evil.

Yes, I remember this pome. It took me a little while to figure out the proper pronunciation. But I don't know about "planettree" either. It looks funny to me. Maybe best to leave it as is and let people decide their own pronunciation?

I think that's best too. Don't see another solution. Maybe it's because it was a vision and visions don't translate well. Anyhow, I've never tried to publish it. And probably never will, except for in this blog. It's a bit weird, anyway.

Help! I've written and I can't get up!
