Meditation Files: #3

Look around you...nothing comes from nothing
everything has its cause
what is the cause of you?

Body has a physical cause...the blending of earth fire water air
but the body is not you
Mind is not earth fire water air
Mind is what?
What its cause?
Is the mind you?
And if your mind loses its body...is it still you?

Hey Larry,
Sounds like you're losing your mind. But that's a good thing, right?

I read this saying once long ago. Although it sounds like a cliche, I remember it since it throws upside-down what I had thought. Here goes: "We are not human-beings having a spiritual experience, but we are spiritual-beings having a human experience."

There's something to say for body (the physical world) besides suffering, I think.

What's shakin Larry?

One has to have a mind to lose.

Then realizing the mind is illusion.

One loses illusions. But which comes first?

Like the chicken and the egg, which comes first?

Hey Dovetaler, durn tootin' there's something to be said besides suffering. Yer makin' me think here. In this duality, suffering's gotta have its flip side, bliss. The clincher came for me when I/not I caught the flash that samsara and nirvana are two sides of the same cosmic coin. ie. the same "place".

My problem is, I can't decide whether to be Howdy Doody or Eeyore.

Hey Bobby, mind is the yoke. Illusions are the white. You must make meringue.

Help! I've written and I can't get up!
