Relativity of Time

Aha! I found the timestamp setting!

The theory of special relativity held that no object or information can move faster than the speed of light in a vacuum, but scientists at university laboratories created an experiment in which a light beam raced through a gas-filled chamber so quickly, it exceeded the speed of light by a factor of 300. What’s more, the light pulse appeared to have left the chamber before it even entered – a seemingly impossible occurrence according to theories of causality, which predict that causes must always precede their effects. That one experiment crushed a number of models for so-called reality. Yet it had no fanfare, no big headlines. A major story of the new century passed with little notice in the world that focused on Janet Jackson’s breasts.

What was that Einstein said? Time is God's way of making sure everything doesn't happen at once? Something like that.

Really, you have to set your priorities! What's more important, discovering that an effect can precede its cause because time doesn't really exist the way we think it does? Or Janet Jackson's breasts? I think we know the answer to that one!

Help! I've written and I can't get up!
